Ancient Teachings on Mindful Living
A Spiritual Residency with a Tibetan Master
11th - 16th September 2026
Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life
This September, we are honoured to welcome back Master Geshe YongDong (Geshela), a revered Tibetan Bön lama, for an exclusive spiritual residency devoted to ancient practices on mindful living.
Set within the tranquil surroundings of the Beaverbrook Estate, this is a rare opportunity to learn directly from one of the few living masters sharing the ancient wisdom of Tibet. Geshela will lead guided meditation, conscious breathing and sound healing, inviting guests to step away from the pace of modern life, embrace a slower rhythm and reconnect with themselves.
The Makings of Mastery
Geshe YongDong Losar is a spiritual teacher in one of the most ancient traditions of the Himalayas - the Yungdrung Bön lineage. Born in Amdo, Tibet, he entered monastic life at age thirteen and studied Bön Buddhism over eleven years, earning the Geshe degree, translated as “Doctor of Divinity”. He continued his studies in India under spiritual leaders like His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin.
Today, after three decades devoted to this practice, he is prolific author and a globally admired teacher praised for his compassionate nature, deep humility and wisdom.
